It’s so cool that they passed this resolution – recognizing your Dad and his service. I don’t remember ever meeting your father, but I wish I had.
Thanks for posting.
Very cool in deed.
Pat was, hands-down, one of the coolest, and most caring people I’ve ever met. Right up there with Judy. I remember him picking up at Midway, and driving me over to O’Hare, so I could catch the bus back to school. He gave me his business card, with his office #, his fax #, his car phone # (which I thought was amazingly cool!), his home #… He told me that if I ever needed anything, to be damn sure and call me. And then he told me stories from his career as a public defender. He loved his job, and he genuinely loved people. All people.
I liked it when he made fun of marty. Also, when he made fun of tony.
Thank you for sharing this. It makes me really sad and really happy.
