These chips, Kettle Brand Sea Salt and Vinegar, are the best damn chips ever. Even the packaging screams, “”I am tasty! Overindulge with me!”

I am a huge fan of Sea Salt and Vinegar flavored chips. Currently, my favorite brand is Kettle Chips. The chips pictures above, made by hippies in Boulder, CO are terrible. No salt, no sting of vinegar. Just vaguely sweet crispiness.

Yuck.

I thought I had made progress in accepting my need for eight hours of sleep. I do enjoy sleeping–I don’t wait until I am about to pass out to go to sleep these days–and I usually wake up feeling refreshed enough to make coffee.

This ended when I went to Unabridged Books with Falconesse. There are far, far too many books I need to read for me to sleep eight hours a night. Then I saw Gears of War 2…hell. This is, of course, not to mention Wrath of the Lich King.

Then there is the blog, my continuing education goals and my desire to make more money so I can get her premium truffles while she has a month off before going to school full time.

I need to sleep, but I’m not sure I want to anymore. Too much to do.

Today is Shannon’s birthday. Wish her well. Back to blogging tomorrow.

Last night, wewent to Cafe Hoang in China Town. It’s a Vietnamese and Thai cafe. Despite the absurdly long wait, I really want to go back there. So many different dishes to try and more of their coffee.

Their Vietnamese coffee is made with a drip process into Sweetened Condensed Milk. It is delicious.

Years ago my brother and I went to an ensemble show at the Abbey Pub. I think it was called the, “women who rock” series. One of the minor acts (Panda Panda) asked us, “is anyone eating out there?”. Some one shouted back, “the cheeseburgers rule!” which made the frontwoman stop and say with a sneer, “I just think it’s funny that someone would eat meat at a Panda Panda show,” the guitar and drum duo then went on to perform entirely forgettable set. I don’t think they got more than polite applause after each song. Even the vegetarians were underwhelmed.

The comment remains burned into my memory mostly as a warning: don’t be snarky unless you can back it up. Most People at the show didn’t come for Panda panda. I doubt a quarter of the crowd new that Panda Panda were vegatarian or vegan. The headliners were The New Pornographers and Mates of State (who, by the way, rocked). Panda Panda’s content was, at best, filler. They didn’t have a single stand out moment outside of their snarky dismissial of someone’s dinner.

I realize that I’m, at best, contributing to the filler of the Internet. I do try to back up my snark with decent content-and I do think I have a few good posts-yet I also realize that posting sparse chip review doesn’t help my position out. I hope to step up my game shortly.

Shannon turns 30, again, Monday. Today we’re celebrating with a few people in our condo. This means I have to continue sweeping. I’ve been trying to convince Shannon that if we got a robot, neither of us would have to sweep. Thus far, she remains unconvinced.

Not Jenga! Sweet Christ, don’t they know what kids do with those blocks?!
