Hat Face

Hat Face

Thanks to Anna, I have a hat. In fact, thanks to her, I have multiple hats. Two people who have seen this hat have commented on its quality and construction. Now I wear it to keep myself pretty.

It’s WoW Related.

At the end of Festival Lane was one of Stratholme’s homiest of pubs. The food was typically sub-par and the privvy was always in shambles, but the drinks were never watered down and the regulars were warmer than Northron folk tended to be.

Bricu’s men were welcome there. Since courting their daughter, the proprietors of Stackpole’s Public House treated Bricu’s brigade as family. It quickly became the place for other off-duty soldiers.

Bricu and his remaining squad stood outside the door to the pub. It has been fortified with wood, iron and holy symbols to ward of the plague and the plague ridden. Inside its walls were Bricu’s family. A beautiful girl who loved him, a young man that looked up to him and surrogate parents who treated him with all the kindness in the world.

Bricu has his men fall into over watch in the front of the building. He ordered the burliest soldiers hack the door down then stand watch outside.

“Eammon? Markita?” he said as he walked into the pub. There was no answer other than the groans and sobs of the plagued. This did not make his task easier. Bricu carried out his orders, one at a time.

Long story short: I had to redo a video I’ve been working on for a retirement party. On the plus side, I got more music/pic sychroncity, but I doubt other people will care about that.

This week’s Friday feature… It has to be something I worked on this week. I got nothing yet. It may actually be a WoW thing, since its the only bit of writing I’ve done since Sunday….

A Little Bit Drunk Outside

Before I go do even nerdier things than blog, I will post some of my favorite expressions for “drunk.” Each of these I learned from my parents. Feel free to post your own.

“It got a little bit drunk outside.”

“It got really drunk outside.”

“I’m just overserved.”

“I’ve gone beyond overserved. Now I’m tipsy.”

“THOUSAND DOLLAR CAT! LET’S GO!”

My trivia team came in first place tonight. Also, I’m wasted. Cheers!

Really?

So I have a ton to blog about and work on: Blago, Obama’s first week vs Bush’s, my Scary Kid Story, Facebook and my upcoming toastmaster speech (which I think I’ll be able to podcast). Instead, I’m working on a video for a retirement party. The cool thing: I’m at home and I can drink beer. The shitty thing? two hours of work has resulted in less than 30 seconds of video. But damn. Those 25 seconds rule.

I have two minutes as iMovie renders the clips…

More as soon as this is finished

From the Search Engine

WordPress showed me that this question, “missed court date is adhd an excuse?” was one of the search results that led to my blog.

No. ADHD is NOT an excuse for missing court. If you have a slick lawyer, they maybe able to get you out of one court date using “medical concerns” as an excuse; however, as a whole, ADHD will not get one out of a court date.

Please continue with your surfing.

Ask a Bastard 2: I made this all up.

Another week, another question.

Itanya asked, “Why shouldn’t I set you on fire? If I can’t set you on fire, who should I set on fire?

There are those who think I should be set on fire. Typically, those individuals come from the far, far, far right. Setting me on fire would make them happy. Now, these are the same people who annoy you. Making them happy would only irritate you further.

Now if this is a question of PvP on WoW (player vs player on
World of Warcraft), I would have to say feel free to set my character on fire. He has it coming.

As for who you should set on fire, I don’t think you should really set anyone on fire. It increases your carbon foot print and I’m not entirely sure how it would smell. It is also very illegal, and I cannot help you beat said case.

In PvP I would recommend setting someone not in my guild on fire. Pick someone from the forums, typically a really annoying player, and do it. Do it often. When things get rough, get more people so you can do it again. We have to face it: Most of the people on our server have it coming.

I will, of course, answer more questions today. The deadline is 7pm CST.

Cheers!

UPDATE:

The lovely and talented VONsaves the day with two additional questions:

Who do you want to win the Super Bowl this weekend?
What movie will win the Best Picture Oscar?

Honestly, I had to look up the the teams who were playing this year. I got so disgusted with the Bears that I stopped paying attention to the rest of the NFL. I didn’t even have a fantasy football team this year–not that I ever do well in that endeavor to begin with.

But, I am cheering for the Steelers. My uncle is from Erie, PA, and I want him to be happy.

However, we’re all winners this year. The Boss will rock our socks off.

As for the Oscars

I haven’t seen a single one of the movies. I want to see most of them (I can do without Ben Button and the Reader), but I don’t think I’ll have the patience to sit through the “Oscar Day” that most theaters do (ala the one you and Shannon did last year).

I’m going to root for Slumdog; however, I think MILK will win it.

Sunday

Watch The IT Crowd. No Sunday blog.

Saturday

No blog post. Go do something away from the computer…
